Set in the year 2029, Terminator Genisys sees John Connor continuing to lead the resistance in the war against the machines. On the verge of winning the war against SpyNet in Los Angeles, Connor sends Kyle Reese back in time to save his mother’s life and ensure his own existence. What Reese finds, however, is wholly unexpected: after being orphaned at the hands of a Terminator at just nine years of age, Sarah Connor has since been raised and protected by another Terminator and adamantly continues to reject her destiny.
