Philips Hue: Hue Bloom Review

617N3camjbL._SL1500_The close off my final review with Philips Hue, I’m getting to the Hue Bloom. This too can be added to your Hue Bridge and sync with your Starter Kit. Officially, it’s “An award-winning lamp designed to create indirect ambient lighting, Philips Hue bloom stunningly projects beautiful colors and it blends in with any interior.”  It isn’t as exciting when it comes to some of the other products Philips has to offer, but it does it job perfectly.

Unboxing —

Like I mentioned before in every review, “something I really like that Apple does so well is their packaging, it’s so crisp, clean and simple. Philips Hue fits itself right into that category as well. Everything is so precise and clean cut. Open the box and it’s literally ready to go. I don’t want to use “idiot proof,” but it’s right on the mark. There isn’t loads of directions or crazy loop holes to understand, things to learn… it’s literally ready to go! BAM! BAM! BAM!”

Set Up —

This was the easiest of all…. No buttons at all and nothing to do… You just connect it to power, then sync it to the Hue Bridge so it works with the rest of your lights! In just a few minutes you’ll have it up and running with the rest of your Hue light collection.

Price —

The price on the Hue Go is $59.99 to add to your Hue collection. Is that worth it? Follow below and decide for yourself.

Experience —

Below is what is listed with Hue Bloom, what it does, etc. Everything in color is my experience with it so far, if it applied to me. For this product, there is one main one that I want to talk about. Like all their other products you can sync it to music, movies, create your ambience by highlighting color, comfort dimming, smart control, etc, etc. Endless ways you can make it adapt to your situation.

Plug and Play

Philips Hue bloom is designed to create indirect ambient lighting and is a perfect way to highlight specific furniture or architectural features in your home. And because it is a plug-based product, you can easily move it around and place it where a power socket is available. Put it on your TV cabinet. Your desk. Or just below your favorite painting. Place it either in or out of sight, and the award-winning design will blend seamlessly with your interior.

How it worked for me: In my case I continued to use my bedroom as the one stop shop for set up. With that I use the Bloom under my bed — it creates a glow under my bed that looks awesome, but it’s not something picture friendly (tried my best) for this review. It’s that little touch of glow that makes the room POP! Anyways… for this demonstration I used a cool brick wall to show you how you can use it in places you’d never thought you could. A dark corner is no more, a dull living room can have perfect ambience — truly endless customization continuing what this lineup does so well from Philips.

Conclusion — is it worth?

Thumbs up from start to finish! Once you begin on the Hue Journey, there’s no going back.” Out of all the products I’ve got my hands on this one is the most basic, but this is a light that you can use in multiple places in your home… You can hide it behind or under your furniture to create a ambiance that looks amazing, you could place it on a shelf to accent photos, you could use it face up in the corner to create a dim light under hanging art or even to create a bloom (no pun intended) of light on an empty wall or hallway. This light, to me is one that is meant to be hidden and it really has the WOW! factor if you place it just right.

Something to mention again even though I am repeating myself, “This is something VERY contagious. I have had this for a few weeks and my brother and his girlfriend want to get some for their apartment, my mom wants it, friends want to hop on the train. It’s a Hue Virus!”

Click HERE to visit their website and pick up the Hue Bloom. Either that or head over to your local Best Buy and pick it up. I can almost guarantee you will be back for more. This will wrap up my reviews with Philips, for now. I hope that I can get my hands on some new products as they drop!
