October’s Most Anticipated 4K Releases

October 4K ReleasesMy 4K UHD Collection is continuing to grow and with more movies on the horizon adapting to the format — it’s a great time for film. The month of October brings well over a dozen releases to the format, but here are the ones I’m looking forward to the most…… get your wallets ready.

Please note that these are my favorites, there are still many more great releases this month in 4K like Hotel Artemis, Twilight, Hook, The Big Lebowski, Skyscraper & more.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado (October 2nd)

FBI agent Matt Graver calls on mysterious operative Alejandro Gillick when Mexican drug cartels start to smuggle terrorists across the U.S. border. The war escalates even further when Alejandro kidnaps a top kingpin’s daughter to deliberately increase the tensions. When the young girl is seen as collateral damage, the two men will determine her fate as they question everything that they are fighting for.

The First Purge (October 2nd)

To push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the others, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation.

Ant Man and the Wasp (October 16th)

Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy.

The Matrix Trilogy (October 30th)

Matrix: A computer hacker learns from mysterious rebels about the true nature of his reality and his role in the war against its controllers.

Reloaded: Neo and the rebel leaders estimate that they have 72 hours until 250,000 probes discover Zion and destroy it and its inhabitants. During this, Neo must decide how he can save Trinity from a dark fate in his dreams.

Revolutions: The human city of Zion defends itself against the massive invasion of the machines as Neo fights to end the war at another front while also opposing the rogue Agent Smith.

2001: A Space Odyssey (October 30th)

An imposing black structure provides a connection between the past and the future in this enigmatic adaptation of a short story by revered sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke. When Dr. Dave Bowman (Keir Dullea) and other astronauts are sent on a mysterious mission, their ship’s computer system, HAL, begins to display increasingly strange behavior, leading up to a tense showdown between man and machine that results in a mind-bending trek through space and time.
