Review & Conclusion:

Something that I tend to say a lot with animation is the fact that certain studios nail it when it’s perfect all ages vs. just for kids. Making something just for kids isn’t a bad thing, but it won’t be enjoyable for the entire family. The right type of animation is something that is catered to children, but beloved and understood by all ages. This does just that.

When a movie like Smallfoot comes along, you might think it’s just for children, but it’s actually a lot deeper than that. This film has plenty of simple (but strong) messages that a child may not fully comprehend, but don’t worry… all the adults will relate to them. Mix those life lessons and principles with a bunch of great music and a you’ll have a great time with the whole family!

This movie made over $210 million dollars worldwide, so in the industry of sequels this has a strong possibility of a second installment, but I hope we keep it as is… leave the rest in your imagination. So should you add this to your collection?

We are just 16 days away from Christmas Eve, so if you have any children in your family circle make sure you pick this up and throw it in a stocking. There looks to be a 3D Edition if you have the hardware and even a potential for a 4K UHD as well. Whichever way you go, you won’t go wrong and the huge bonus is that you’ll enjoy it to. I give this the thumbs up and you have my recommendation!

Cheers,

Matt.
