April’s Most Anticipated 4K Releases

My 4K UHD Collection is getting bigger as time goes by because more films are adapting to the format. I usually say “it continues to be an amazing time for film,” but this month and time is different. Theaters are shut down and the majority of the United States (including myself) are locked inside for safety.

On top of that, April (2020) brings the smallest batch of releases I’ve ever seen, which might be good in light of what’s currently going on in the world. Hope everyone is staying safe! Follow below to see the ones I’m looking forward to the most.

There are a few releases to grab that arrive in the Blu-ray format; this includes Little Women on March 7th + Underwater & Just Mercy on April 14th. (By the way, all you Cats lovers, that releases April 7th.) Also, Paramount is re-releasing Fatal Attraction, To Catch A Thief & King Creole.

On top of that you have a slew of Digital releases arriving early: Onward (Pixar), Emma, The Hunt & Invisible Man, Bloodshot, The Gentlemen, Birds of Prey & The Way Back are out today + Sonic the Hedgehog lands March 31st. Finally, Trolls World Tour & Arkansas hit April 1st.

Keep your eyes out for more of these releases as the month goes on.

Dolittle (April 7th, 2020) This is for the kids, otherwise you pass on this.

Dr. John Dolittle lives in solitude behind the high walls of his lush manor in 19th-century England. His only companionship comes from an array of exotic animals that he speaks to on a daily basis. But when young Queen Victoria becomes gravely ill, the eccentric doctor and his furry friends embark on an epic adventure to a mythical island to find the cure.

Bad Boys For Life (April 21st, 2020)

Marcus and Mike have to confront new issues (career changes and midlife crises), as they join the newly created elite team AMMO of the Miami police department to take down the ruthless Armando Armas, the vicious leader of a Miami drug cartel.

The Gentlemen (April 21st, 2020)

Mickey Pearson is an American expatriate who became rich by building a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business, it soon triggers an array of plots and schemes — including bribery and blackmail — from shady characters who want to steal his domain.
