My 4K UHD Collection is continuing to grow and with more movies on the horizon adapting to the format — it continues to be an amazing time for film. We are already nearing September (2019) and don’t worry, there’s another batch of new releases coming to the UHD format — here are the ones I’m looking forward to the most.
Please note that these are my personal favorites, there are still other 4K releases coming out in the month of September like the new remastered Casino along with MIB: International and Maleficent. There’s something to pick up every single week!
As a side not, it’s going to be another crazy month for Disney, on top of what’s listed below, they’re also pushing out three more movies in the Walt Disney Signature Collection: Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin & 101 Dalmatians. Why? My only guess is they are trying to close out this collection before Disney+ launches and you can stream everything.
Beyond this month, the rumor is that the Signature Edition of Jungle Book will come out in October, but where’s Fantasia? If they’re really trying to release everything, hopefully that comes out this year to completely close out the collection. C’mon Disney, give us Fantasia!
John Wick 3 (September 10, 2019)

Now stuck with a $14 million bounty on his head, Wick must fight his way through the streets of New York as he becomes the target of the world’s most ruthless killers.
Aladdin (September 10, 2019)
Aladdin is a lovable street urchin who meets Princess Jasmine, the beautiful daughter of the sultan of Agrabah. While visiting her exotic palace, Aladdin stumbles upon a magic oil lamp that unleashes a powerful, wisecracking, larger-than-life genie. As Aladdin and the genie start to become friends, they must soon embark on a dangerous mission to stop the evil sorcerer Jafar from overthrowing young Jasmine’s kingdom.
Pixar Collection (September 10, 2019)
Once again, another HUGE day of releases from Disney. Not only will you get both Aladdin’s, but also Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, Inside Out, Cars, Cars 2, Brave, The Good Dinosaur & Ratatouille. That’s a total of ten 4K UHD’s releasing from one studio, in one day… August saw six in one day, but ten? Wow. Get your wallets ready!
X-Men: Dark Phoenix (September 17, 2019)
During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet. The film is the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made.
