10. MARC E BASSY “GOSSIP COLUMNS”

Marc E. Bassy officially dropped his ‘Gossip Columns’ album this year. It’s crazy how years ago I was posting him on my site and now — BAM! the talent is known worldwide. 9. JHENE AIKO “TRIP”

Following the release of a short film, Jhene Aiko dropped her new album this year. It had been a few years since her debut album, but that all changed with ‘TRIP.’ In total, you got 22 tracks with features from artists like Big Sean, Brandy, Kurupt and more. 8. MIGUEL “WAR & LEISURE”

On the first Day of December Los Angeles’ own Miguel released his brand newest project entitled ‘War & Leisure.’ In total you got 12 new track with features from artists like J. 7. G-PERICO “ALL BLUE”

G Perico dropped two albums this year and the stand out was ‘All Blue.’ His last mixtape ‘Shit Don’t Stop’ is still in rotation till Summer and this album carried all through out the year .“In my city, it can go from a nice sunny blue day to a life changing event in the blink of an eye.” In total you got 13 tracks with two features from Sonny Digital & Polyester. 6. TYLER, THE CREATOR “FLOWER BOY”

Tyler, The Creator released a little project this year by the title of ‘Flower Boy.’ This served as the follow up to his 2015 project ‘Cherry Bomb,’ and you got 14 new tracks with features from ASAP Rocky, Lil Waynce, Pharell, Frank Ocean and more. 5. MOZZY “1 UP TOP AHK”

Sacramento’s very own Mozzy released of his brand new album this year entitled ‘1 Up Top Ahk.’ In total his 16 tracks were made up with features from artists like Jay Rock, YFN Lucci, Lil Durk, Dave East, Boosie Badazz, Rexx Life Raj and more. 4. VINCE STAPLES “BIG FISH THEORY”

The day is here! Vince Staples is back with the follow up to his debut album, ‘Summertime ‘06’ with ‘Big Fish Theory.’ With the Los Angeles rapper gives you a total of  12 tracks with features from Kendrick Lamar, Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, A$AP Rocky and more. 3. TY DOLLA SIGN “BEACH HOUSE 3”

One of the highly anticipated albums this year was from Ty Dolla Sign. 2. G-EAZY “THE BEAUTIFUL & DAMNED”

The Bay Area has had another great year, and one of the artists that help push it to the next level was G-Eazy. This year ‘The Beautiful & Dammed’ dropped just a few weeks ago and it’s hard to get it out of rotation with all the hit single’s it features. 1. KENDRICK LAMAR “DAMN”

To put it very simply, Kendrick Lamar took over the music world this year with breakout tracks, stand out videos and of course the album of the year ‘DAMN.’ Lead by his ‘HUMBLE’ single he featured artists on his project like Rihanna, U2 and Zacari on the cut.
