Alliances Entertainment, in association with Amazon MGM Studios, has detailed its upcoming 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Michael Showalter’s Verity (2026), starring Anne Hathaway, Josh Hartnett, Dakota Johnson, Ismael Cruz Cordova, and Michael Abbott Jr. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on December 15.
Description: Based on Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, screenwriter Nick Antosca adapted Verity for the screen, and it was brought to life by director Michael Showalter.
In Verity, Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer, relocates to the remote estate of renowned author Verity Crawford to ghostwrite her next novel. When she uncovers what appears to be Verity’s chilling autobiographical notes, Lowen wrestles with disturbing confessions about Verity’s husband Jeremy, and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.
Audiences were seduced by the twisty adaptation upon release in early October with critics and fans alike praising Anne Hathaway’s standout performance as the manipulative and unforgettable Verity. Verity has grossed over $145 million at the worldwide box office.
Verity was directed by Michael Showalter with a screenplay by Nick Antosca, and based on the novel by Colleen Hoover.
