The one thing that I am the most passionate about is movies. Every week I watch a handful of movies at the very least late at night when I have nothing else to do. I never wanted to put my opinion out there about movies and get into the cinema world, but I always find myself highly disappointed in the way critics write about movies today. They always over analyze every aspect of the smallest things that no-one cares the least about. If you want to see a movie, you are going to see the movie regardless of what the critics are telling you, because face it…. the critics went out of their way to see the movie just as you want to.
I bet you can research 5 of your favorite movies of all time right now and find 100’s of negative reviews from “certified critics” nit-picking on things that never mattered in the first place. Will those reviews detour you from putting it on again and again? Of course not. In this new feature, I want to not only write a quick blurb on what I think about the movies I watch, but give a graphic that rates it on criteria “normal people” or as I like to call “movie-going humans” care about and pay attention to.
I haven’t thought up a name for this feature, or the graphic that I will use, but stay tuned because I am going to try and make this work. Every week I go out and rent the new movies via Redbox because you can’t get any better than $1 a night! In the coming weeks I will start dropping at least 1-3 of these a week so I hope you find yourself enjoying what I have to say. I would like this to start being posted on movie-websites as I drop them because it will be a unique way to look at movies that I think everyone will want to partake in.
