Nike Air Max 1 “Sketch to Shelf” & “Schematic”

With plenty of buzz surrounding Nike‘s graphic “Sketch to Shelf” and “Schematic” Air Max 1 sneakers, the sneaker giant has finally introduced official imagery for the covetable kicks. The three sneakers feature plenty of graphic accents, highlighted in the detailed shots.

Directly inspired by Tinker Hatfield‘s original illustrations, the monochrome “Schematic” shoes and doodle-heavy “Sketch to Shelf” all feature a host of thoughtful touches across the upper, including notations for the intended colors, fabrics and shapes utilized on the completed designs. Contrast stitching on the black and white “Schematic” iterations highlight the work-in-progress motif, underlined by scrawled Nike branding on the insole of the “Sketch to Shelf,” Hatfield’s signature on the heel and “SAMPLE, PROPERTY OF NIKE NOT FOR RESALE” stamped inside all the models.

The shoes hit Japanese stores like atmos and Nike’s Japanese site today, with American shops like UNKNWN set to receive the trio on July 13. The “Sketch to Shelf” and “Schematic” are expected to arrive at British retailers around July 20.
