If they hear you, they hunt you. In this terrifying suspenseful thriller, a family must navigate their lives in silence to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and Lee (John Krasinski) Abbott are determined to find a way to protect their children at all costs while they desperately search for a way to fight back.
Director: John Krasinski
Aspect Ratio: 2.39:1
Runtime: 90 min
Rotten Tomatoes Consensus: A Quiet Place artfully plays on elemental fears with a ruthlessly intelligent creature feature that’s as original as it is scary — and establishes director John Krasinski as a rising talent.
“Suspense at the highest level. Stay quiet or be silenced.”
The original film will arrive in a brand new, collectible Mondo X Steelbook in 4K Ultra HD on March 10th. The new artwork is inspired by Matt Ryan Tobin’s atmospheric poster highlighting the film’s iconic red string lights. What is this new packaging and re-release for? It’s to get you ready for the highly anticipated sequel releasing just a week later on March 20th. Have you seen the trailer? It looks like we are in for another treat.
The 4K Ultra HD Combo pack also includes behind-the-scenes footage exploring the exceptionally unique sound design, the riveting visual effects, and how the cast and crew created the movie’s distinctive atmosphere both on set and on film. Even more, it also boasts a Dolby Atmos soundtrack and Dolby Vision. It’s a perfect blend of everything you could want in a release.
Great news, I reviewed this back in 2018 when it first released on UHD (it was also one of my first reviews), so you can check that out right here on the site. It’s simply the same disc in all new packaging! The short of it? This is a film you need to own in the best possible format. If you don’t own this yet, then this is a must own to grab before the sequel arrives — especially if you’re a fan of steelbooks, which I know a lot of you are.
You can grab the Mondo X Steelbook 4K Ultra HD Combo on March 10th. Don’t miss out!
